You're posts get likes, but do people know how to buy from you?

Someone loves your work. They tap your profile, scroll through beautiful photos, and think, “I wonder how much this costs.”
Then they can’t find how to order. Or they’re not sure you serve their area. Or they see “DM for details” and don’t know what details you need.
They leave. You see the likes and wonder why nobody buys.

Check the path a customer has to follow
Open your profile as if you’ve never seen your business before. Can someone quickly tell what you sell, who it is for, where you serve, and how to inquire or order?

A local business needs its location or service area somewhere obvious. A product business needs an easy route to the relevant products. A service business needs a clear way to request the right service.
Ask someone unfamiliar with your process to try it. Where do they hesitate? That pause tells you where to make the next step easier.

Make your invitation specific
“Contact us” leaves the customer to decide how and why.
Try: “Planning a Charleston celebration? Send your event date, location, and the space you want decorated through our inquiry form.”
Or: “Shop the gift collection through the link in our bio. Each listing includes sizing and ordering details.”
Use instructions that match your actual process. If you want inquiries through a form, sending people to three other places creates extra work for everyone.

Answer the questions that stop a purchase
Include posts about lead time, what’s included, delivery or collection, starting prices when appropriate, and how booking works.
Imagine a customer ordering a centerpiece for the first time. A beautiful picture catches their attention. Knowing whether you deliver and how early to order helps them act.
You can keep the warmth and personality while giving useful information.

Look beyond the likes
For a few weeks, record which posts lead to website visits, inquiries, and bookings where you can identify the connection. Ask new customers how they found you. The picture won’t be perfect, but it can help you see which content brings the right people closer to buying.
Start today with your bio, your main link, and one post explaining how to order. Follow the link yourself and make sure the destination works on your phone.
